Last Minutes of Summer - Part 1
Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach is a magical place to shoot, particularly before sunrise as locals fulfill morning rituals and workout sessions whilst first light of the day begins. Probably THE most photographed beach in Sydney, possibly the entire country, the challenge was to capture moments in slow motion that reveal a small window into Bondi's beauty. Moments with nature and people perhaps not fully appreciated in real time. Capturing these kinds of moments requires patience, more patience and a little luck.

Broome is the gateway to one of the world's last frontiers of pristine wilderness - Australia's North West.
Every year the largest migration of humpback whales in the world occurs off the West Australian coast as the whales head north from Antarctica to warm, tropical waters off Broome where they mate and calve.
Spending time in close proximity to these graceful, ocean roaming beasts reminds me how lucky we are in Australia, how precious these animals are and the importance of protecting them.
Another massive winter swell hit Sydney's coast over the last week generating monster sized waves putting on an impressive display of power and beauty along the coastline.
People spend hours and hours perched atop the cliffs at Bronte (pronounced Bron-tee) marvelling at the sheer power of waves crashing ashore observing surfers taking on the huge swells. What do people think about as they look out onto the huge swells rolling in and crashing up against the shore? Always wondered.... it appears to be quite therapeutic for so many people.
As it was a southerly swell generated by a huge low pressure system off Australia's southern most point in Tasmania only a couple of Sydney's city beaches are rideable in these conditions.
Bronte, my favourite beach and local, being one of them.
This is PURE BRONTE.....
